Application Process
Admission to the OnTrack program is by application. Application materials may be requested by emailing Becca Vance at nursing@blc.edu. Application materials will be provided in electronic format only.
Full payment of $1,200 is required at time of application to register for the course. Cash, check, or money order are preferred. Complete entire application form and return with your payment to the college cashier.
If you prefer to pay online, please contact us for access to the payment form. A 3% credit card processing fee will be added to the total amount due.
You will be notified by email of your acceptance. If you are not accepted, a full refund will be issued.
Acceptance criteria:
- A maximum of eight students are accepted per cohort.
- Priority acceptance for available spots is given to current Bethany Lutheran College students in academically good standing in order of application, and as applicants meet acceptance criteria and remit full payment for the program.

Student requirements:
- Students must initiate/complete a two-step Mantoux/TB test within 90 days of clinical
- Students must be free of any communicable disease
- Students must speak, read, and understand English at a high school level
- Students must complete and pass the required Minnesota background check
Important to note:
This training will include:
- A mandatory 3 hour orientation on a Saturday in April (date to be determined by instructor)
- Proctored Exams on campus at BLC (2 separate dates)
- Hands on training in the BLC Simulation lab (3 dates in May, 24 hours of total training)
- Clinical rotation at a long term care facility in Mankato (4 dates in May, 16 hours of total training)
- The online course work will be completed individually between the orientation and prior to the Simulation Lab training.
Specific dates will be shared with applicants once determined by the course instructor and confirmed with the clinical site.
